The life of Wade Waller, Sr. began on May 11, 1937, in Morgan County. He was the son of the late Willie Waller and the late Lemond Williams Waller. Wade’s life started in Morgan County. He later moved to Putnam County to live his life journey. He received his early education in the Putnam County school system. He was a graduate from the Butler Baker School.

After finishing high school, the search was on to find his way in life. Jobs that Wade had in the early part of his life included working in Milledgeville at Bones Brick Yard, then some years later working at the Cotton Mill here in Eatonton. On his working life journey, he worked for (Solonial) Daniel Construction building houses and later transferred his working skills to building houses for Horton Homes, where he continued to work until he retired.

In his life journey, he met and married Mary Lizzie Parham. Two children were born to this union. Days were happy and full of joy as each member enjoyed each other throughout life. Wade had a love for his religion and his church. He became a faithful member of New Enon Baptist Church of Morgan County. He became a deacon and later a chairman of the Deacon Board. He also worked as the superintendent of Sunday School. Wade’s love began with his family having conversation and giving out encouraging words, always sharing laughter with both family and friends.

Wade was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lizzie Parham Waller; one brother, Lorenza “Culp” Waller; and two sisters, Betty Joe Bradley and Willie Mae Griffin.

To cherish his memory, Wade leaves: two sons, Wade Waller, Jr. (Griselda) and Gabriel Waller (Marita); two sisters, Inez William (Will) and Alfreda Howell; two brothers, Manley Waller, Sr. (Sally Mae) and Donnas Waller (Vereda); three grandchildren, Shaveta Waller, Justin Waller, and Marvin Waller; one great-grandchild, Carson Wade Waal; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
