Mozell Lewis, daughter of the late Willie Frank Key, Sr. and Eva Julia Williams Key, was born on March 24, 1936. Surrounded by her loving family, she entered eternal rest on Friday, June 11, 2021.

As a child, Mother Lewis attended Butler Baker School in Eatonton, GA. However, young Mozell was not afforded the luxury of carefree childhood living for long; at a tender age, she soldiered up to shoulder adult responsibilities, and began working after the passing of her mother. Despite the hardships of her youth, Mozell was still able to achieve her credentials, served as a certified nursing assistant (CAN) for Eatonton Health & Rehabilitation Center for over twenty years. She later gifted her community with her loving hands, fulfilling her valued and respected purpose while serving that same community with her gift of care for the elderly. Mother Lewis loved gardening and cooking, but more than anything she loved her family, church, and friends.

Mother Lewis married the late Willie Lee Hudson, and to this union five wonderful children were born. Later in life, she married Tommy Lee Lewis; this union was blessed another three beloved children.

Mother Lewis began serving God at a young age. She grew up in Kinderhook community in Putnam County, where she attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Later in life she joined New Life Outreach Christian Center, serving as a dedicated mother on the motherboard, where she continued to serve faithfully until her final days.

Mother Lewis was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Jewel Grimes, Willie Frank Key, Jr., Ebullah Farley, and Georgia Mae Key; and two children, the Late Willie Clyde Hudson (Wanda), and the Late Wendell Hudson. She leaves to cherish her memory six children, Carl Hudson (Jerusha), Edward Hudson (Anice), Shelia Williams, Bobby Lewis (Chantel), Leon Lewis (Sandy) and Sara Ann Clemons (Dexter); twenty-six grandchildren, three of which (Antione Hudson, Dontayus Hudson, and Zayeon Lewis) were blessed to have had the chance to live with her, and a host of other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
