• Mrs. Eugenia Russell-Scott, age 73, transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 in a Baldwin County hospital. 
• A private memorial gathering will be held at Mrs. Eugenia's home on Wednesday, February 10 at 5pm.

Mrs. Eugenia Russell-Scott departed this earthly plane on Tuesday, February 2, 2021, after a long battle with renal disease.

Eugenia was born May 11, 1947 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to the parentage of Ms. Rosalie Russell and Mr. Eugene Jeter. Growing up in the Philly, she attended Walton Elementary School and then Fitzsimmon High School during her grade school years, both in Philadelphia; post graduation, Eugenia continued with secondary education in the field of Psychology. As a young woman she also met and married the love of her life, Raleigh Scott. Dedicated and a hard worker from the start, Eugenia attained and held multiple jobs throughout her adulthood, all while continuing to maintain her family life. In 2015, Eugenia decided it was time for a change and relocated to Georgia. New to the great Peach State, Eugenia moved in with her cousin Brenda, and Brenda's family. She would remain down South for the rest of her days. Eugenia had several hobbies, including a love of arts & crafts and cooking; however, her favorite thing to do was to spend quality time with her family and friends.

Eugenia is proceeded in death by her husband, Raleigh Scott; her son, Hassan Ibn'Abdual; two sisters, Rosemary Russell and Gwendolyn Russell; and one brother, William Henry Jones.

To mourn her in death, Eugenia leaves: one daughter, Renee Russell (Tyrone); one sister, Regina Walker; six grandchildren, Latifah Brooker (Mango), Raymond Fields (Alisha), Starlisha Fields-Gingrich, Angel Russell, Hassan, Jr., and Hanaya; five great-grandchildren, Adren, Rayiona, Iraya, and Parker Zoe; three nieces, Eugenia Jones, Joi Russell, and Shari Anderson; one nephew, William Jones, as well as a host of great-nieces and -nephews, cousins, and her special friend, Mr. Farley (Katkat).
