Mr. Erskine E. Standifer was born on November 23, 1946 to Willie Jay and Reva Standifer of Monticello, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Jay Standifer and his brother, Aaron Standifer.

Erskine Standifer, age 74, passed from this life into Eternity on Thursday, April 8, 2021.

Erskine graduated from Jasper County Training School in 1964 and, upon graduation, attended Morehouse College. Following matriculation, Erskine went on to work for Dade Paper Company in Atlanta, GA for 54 years.

Mr. Erskine Standifer, affectionately known as, Daddy, Papa, Papa Erskine and Granddaddy, was very quiet and humble yet passionate about taking care of his family. He had such admiration for his wife, Mattie Standifer, and all of his children and grandchildren. In his leisure time, he loved to travel and watch Western movies.

Erskine Standifer leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Mattie Standifer. Erskine and Mattie had a blended family of 6 children and 4 adopted children: Stephanie Brock of Orlando, FL, Eric (Crystal) Standifer of Hill Air Force Base, Utah, Shynetra Brown of Atlanta, GA, Corinthia (Joshua) Farley of Conyers, GA, Rhonwyn Smith of Athens, GA, Nicole (Cliff) Lynch of Covington, GA, Anthony Jones of Eatonton, GA, Antwan Jones of  Covington, Ga, Antioneus Lewis of  Eatonton, GA, Anqunette Hughes of Monticello, GA.; his mother, Reva Standifer of Monticello, GA; four siblings, Norman (Joann) Standifer of Charlotte, NC, Nathaniel Standifer of Aurora, CO, Whichard Standifer of  Monticello, GA, Joel (Quency) Standifer of Decatur, GA; two uncles, Leroy Brinkley of Norfolk, VA, and Norman Brinkley Jr. of Edenton, NC; fifteen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
