BRANDON JESSIE WILLOUGHBY was born in Athens, Georgia, on June 12, 1987, to Jessie and Teresa Willoughby. He departed this life on December 1, 2020. Brandon joined Henderson Grove Baptist Church at a young age but also served faithfully at St. James Church of God. Brandon was a graduate of Putnam County High School, Class of 2005, where his mother was named Teacher of the Year. Brandon had many favorite pastimes. He liked playing video games with his cousins and watching all types of sports. He also enjoyed watching scary movies and going on long walks while listening to music. Brandon genuinely enjoyed spending time communicating with family and friends as much as he could. Brandon began his interest with praise and worship by starting his morning with prayer and listening to T.D. Jakes sermons.

He would also do his daily dose of eating cereal and gummy bears, while talking on the phone with his favorite cousin/sister, Neshanta, as he called her. His favorite music genres were old-school classics, reggae, rap, and over time, he began to enjoy gospel music. Brandon would also enjoy telling random jokes, making up his own vocabulary words and their meanings, without any care as to what others may have thought. He also enjoyed fixing things, even if that meant breaking them even more. Brandon was very chilled, calm, and laid-back. His main goal every day was to make sure everyone was happy. One of his last social media posts was, "I rarely post, but with this post, I just have one thing to say: cherish every moment with fam(ily). Never take time with them for granted. Love, care, be present and talk to each other. With that being said, I am out." If you do not remember anything else about Brandon, know that he loved and adored his family. He was preceded in death by Carrie Jane Fanning, affectionately known as ''Granny." He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Teresa Willoughby and Jessie Willoughby (Felicia); his brothers, Nicholas Willoughby of Atlanta, GA, Terrence Ryan Willoughby (Mia) of Austell, GA, Justin Terrell Willoughby of Statesboro, GA, and Jaylen Willoughby of Athens, GA; grandparents, Charles and Martha Parham of Eatonton, GA; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. He has many special aunts who will miss him dearly; two to mention are Deborah and Betty Fanning of Athens, GA.

He will also be missed by the love of his life, Maqueshia Morris, the person he considered his soul mate and best friend for life. She says that his favorite songs were "Something About the Name Jesus" and "More Than I Can Bear." They grew in their faith walk together.
